Privacy Policy
AMOSHWZ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the AMOSHWZ mobile application and the website at amoshwz.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written for Google Play Store users and other people who use our services.
1. Who we are
AMOSHWZ is an entertainment app for movies, series, shorts, music, creator channels, and related content. Contact us about privacy at privacy@amoshwz.com or through amoshwz.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us and information created when you use the app.
- Account details: name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). You may also add a profile photo.
- Creator and channel data: channel name, description, avatar, videos, shorts, thumbnails, comments, likes, subscriptions, collaboration invites, and related studio activity.
- Watch activity: continue-watching position, watch history, likes, comments, downloads stored on your device, and content you purchase or subscribe to.
- Payments: subscription and pay-per-title transactions are processed by Razorpay. We receive payment status, order IDs, and plan or video purchase records. We do not store your full card number or UPI PIN.
- Device and technical data: IP address, device type, app version, crash or error logs, and basic usage data needed to run streaming and uploads.
- Media you choose to share: if you upload or record content, the app may use camera, microphone, photos, and videos with your permission.
3. Permissions the Android app may request
- Internet: to sign in, stream, upload, and sync your account.
- Camera and microphone: only if you record a video or short.
- Photos, videos, and storage: only if you pick a file from your device to upload or save a download.
You can deny these permissions. Some features, such as upload or offline download, will then be unavailable.
4. How we use information
- Create and secure your account, and let you sign in.
- Provide streaming, uploads, comments, subscriptions, channels, and downloads.
- Process membership plans and one-off video purchases.
- Show continue watching, history, and recommendations based on your activity in the app.
- Prevent abuse, debug problems, and improve the service.
- Send service messages about your account, purchases, or collab requests. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How we share information
We share data only as needed to run AMOSHWZ:
- Payment provider: Razorpay processes payments under its own privacy policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure: our servers store accounts, videos, and related files.
- Other users: if you publish a channel, video, comment, or profile name/photo, that content can be visible to other users.
- Legal requests: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, our rights, or safety.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
6. Children
AMOSHWZ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active. Watch history, comments, uploads, and purchase records stay until you delete them or close the account, or until we no longer need them for legal, security, or billing reasons. Local downloads stay on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update your name, email, photo, or password in the app profile.
- Delete videos, shorts, comments, or your channel where the app allows it.
- Uninstall the app to remove local downloads and cached files from that device.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your account by emailing privacy@amoshwz.com.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and authenticated API access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. International users
AMOSHWZ is operated from India. If you use the app from another country, your information may be processed in India and on servers used to deliver the service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
